We are a small family business dedicated to providing
affordable acupuncture to the community.
This is what America looks like.
DAVID KATO
Licensed Acupuncturist
-
Licensed Acupuncturist, State of Illinois & California
-
Diplomate in Acupuncture, National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
-
Master of Science, Oriental Medicine, SAMRA University, Los Angeles, California
-
Bachelor of Science, Speech and Hearing Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, David started his career as a bicycle mechanic, massage therapist and product engineer before becoming an acupuncturist.
On days off, he's rebuilding his vintage British motorcycle while listening to reggae and Playing for Change.
David's father immigrated from Japan and worked in farms on the west coast eventually beating all odds with a successful electric business. David's mother was born and raised on the sugar plantations of Kauai before Hawaii
officially became the 50th state.
We recognize their sacrifices in search for a better life - the American dream.
We wouldn't be here without you!
ROSA KATO
Co-owner, Clinic Manager
As front desk manager, Rosa oversees the operations side of the business making sure the clinic is running smoothly.
Born in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago and a DePaul University graduate, she freelanced as a locations scout, taught English in Korea and traveled extensively
pre-kids.
Recently her free time is dedicated to propagating house plants and bringing new life to an old rose garden.
Originally from South Korea, Rosa's parents lived in Germany before settling in the U.S. The Hart-Celler Act allowed them to invite all their relatives to immigrate under the family reunification clause.
We honor Rosa's parents for their immigrant story as being the first in the family of dozens who settled across America.
You made it possible!
ROHAN AND DAX
Office Helpers
Rohan and Dax were raised in our community clinic. Now in 7th and 9th grades, they alternate helping out at our front desk.
On days they're not in a virtual classroom, it's likely the screen is distracting them with Valorant or Rust.
